libdebian-installer4-dev software package provides Library of common debian-installer functions, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdebian-installer4-dev
libdebian-installer4-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdebian-installer4-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdebian-installer4-dev *
You will get with libdebian-installer4-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
